Twins - Poppy and Frankie

I’ve been a newborn photographer for about 6 years now but these two beauties are my first ever twins!

I was fully expecting a challenge but they were almost easier than most babies on their own although I think it was probably just a fluke and it won’t always be that way if I have twins in the future 😂.

Either way, I was really excited to try multiples and they were so perfect in every way.

I would not start working with twins until I had quite a few single babies of experience and knowledge under my belt so I am glad I had a plan going in and understanding on how to achieve it.

When done properly, wrapped poses are probably the easiest to do and even one baby can move around. You have to be extra attentive to multiples because if you lose attention on one, both can fall.

In these first 2 images, the baby on the left was pretty still but baby on the right was lifting her head and moving quite a bit. Even though baby on the left wasn’t voluntarily moving, her sister did cause some shifting to her. I think this particular shot took about 15 minutes to get once the movement stopped. Looks easy, but still took time and patience.

In the bed pose, they were in the beds but mom was standing right beside them and edited out. Even wrapped, babies can move and even roll. Safety always!
